Over 1 Million Canadian Children in Poverty; 13% of Grey-Bruce Youth in Low-Income Households

Canada saw a sharp upswing in national child poverty rates in 2021, and the impact is being felt locally.

Editor’s Note: Here in Grey and Bruce counties, 13% of children and youth under the age of 18 live in low-income households, as do 10.6% of working-aged adults and 12.3% of adults aged 65 and older.
