OSFN Members’ Night Returns March 12 with Diverse Lineup of Nature Talks
The Owen Sound Field Naturalists will host Members’ Night March 12 at the Bayshore, featuring seven speakers on wildlife, ecology, travel, and local nature.
The Owen Sound Field Naturalists (OSFN) will present a diverse lineup of speakers for Members’ Night 2026, coordinated by OSFN’s Brian Robin.
Seven speakers will share presentations on a wide range of topics. The lineup includes:
Robert Burcher – Plants of Wineland the Good
Amanda Eriksen – A Young Field Naturalists Update
Kristine Hammel – How ecological agriculture can grow food and biodiversity simultaneously
Barb Rabicki – An uplifting story of overcoming obstacles and witnessing the return of wildlife in abundance
Marcia Ranger – A Bearvivor’s Tale, recounting her 2017 bear attack, what she learned from the experience, and the safety lessons she shares with others
Marilyn Scriver – Antarctica: A Snapshot from one of her trips to the continent
Christopher Wren, Ph.D. – Another Hidden Jewel in Grey County, an overview of a special local property and its flora, fauna, geology, water features — and foxes too
Members’ Night will take place Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre in Owen Sound. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. to allow attendees to browse OSFN merchandise, learn about memberships, and find out more about upcoming activities.
Everyone is welcome. Admission is by donation, with free entry for OSFN members.
