OPP Seize $200,000 in Suspected Cocaine, Arrest Dundalk Man
Ontario Provincial Police seized $200,000 worth of suspected cocaine, cash, and a vehicle in a November 6 raid on properties in Dundalk and Clifford, leading to the arrest of a Dundalk man.
On November 6, 2024, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers seized approximately 1.9 kilograms of suspected cocaine, along with $12,000 in cash and a motor vehicle, during searches at properties in Dundalk and Clifford.
The total estimated street value of the controlled substances is approximately $200,000.
Members of the OPP West Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed the search warrants, with the suspect being taken into custody near Walkerton without incident.
Daniel Smith, a 32-year-old from Dundalk, now faces multiple charges, including possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking under the Criminal Code (CC).
Smith has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice on November 12, 2024.
