A Georgian College student says she never dumped the box that got her charged under Owen Sound's bylaw. With the Mayor and City Manager declining to weigh in, her only way to fight it is a courtroom.
WHERE IS THE PROOF that she put this box where it was found? Why would she do that when she has a recycle box that has been shown on her porch? To not believe her and make an unfounded accusation is pure pettiness, upsetting and unjust!!
This is not the way this should be handled It could happen to anyone that orders package delivery I do not always remove my identifying label from my packages that I receive before putting them in the recycle box. Why would she take a box out of her recycling and walk downtown with it and put it in the garbage on the main street??? The answer is SHE WOULD NOT do that. Why would she? City hall employees need to use better judgement in this case and reverse the decision. She did as she was asked and provided what evidence she had and it is not enough? I am DISGUSTED by the fact that the Mayor and Mr Simmonds have refused to accept her defence in this matter. I believe also that the courts have real Criminals to deal with and this is a total waste of their time. I think we who object to the treatment of this student nurse should either picket city hall or show up on court date to support her. Who is with me?
