We’re nearing the halfway point for this Council’s term, and The Owen Sound Current is preparing a midterm report.

In the coming weeks, we’ll run a series of Community Polls to see what Owen Sounders think about specific issues ranging from Council performance and city services to fiscal responsibility, public infrastructure, accountability and transparency, and beyond.

We’re also preparing a questionnaire for City Councilors and would like your input.

Take this quick (6-question) survey to help us understand what community members most want to hear from your elected representatives. We’ll use your input to inform our Council Questionnaire.

Your elected representatives will have one week to respond, and we’ve given them advance notice so all can participate. This community survey will close on Monday, November 11, at 4 pm, so take a moment now to share your thoughts.

Public Notices

• The City of Owen Sound’s Community Open House is happening tonight from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bayshore Community Centre. This event is a come-and-go evening for residents to engage directly with city staff.

• The City of Owen Sound’s strategic planning sessions for its “Vision 2050” project are coming up on Nov 8-10. Community members can sign up to attend 3 sessions. Learn more here.
