On April 9, 2024, at 10:00 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on patrol along 1^st Ave South in Chesley stopped to check a motorcycle; which then fled from police.

Police were later able to locate the subject vehicle and identify the driver.
