To begin with, Owen Sound’s identity is most strongly defined by the things that are uniquely our own. It’s not the big box stores that give us our character; it’s the physical and social landscape, the events and organizations, and our geography.
Our downtown is a big part of that, and I’ve been disheartened by the rhetoric about both the place and the people who live, work, and shop downtown.”

The City of Owen Sound’s Committee of Adjustment meets on Tuesday, September 17, at 3:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. You can review the full agenda online.
Bluewater District School Board meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, beginning at 5:45 p.m. at the Education Centre in Chesley. Both regular Meetings of the Board and Board Committee Meetings are open to the public.
The Community Services Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
The Committee of Operations meets Thursday, September 19, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. You can review the full agenda online.
