Mon Nov 20: Local News + Enjoy 'Georgian Bay Explorer' Episodes Online
Plus: Explore a celebrity chef's new Grey County property; save the date for Brian Barrie's crime novel book launch
Looking for your next good read? Retired trial lawyer Brian Barrie’s much-anticipated true crime novel launches Nov 30 at The Ginger Press – save the date.
Four Bullets, Four Witnesses, Four Liars: The True Story of a Murder and the Trial That Followed uses trial transcripts, newspaper articles, and Barrie’s own memories to piece together the courtroom drama that played out when Mae McEachern was charged with murder.
McEachern was charged after Jimmy Strutton was shot and killed April 26, 1988, in a remote cabin just north of Owen Sound. The police questioned four witnesses. Each one told a different story, then changed their stories repeatedly. Plan to attend the book launch to hear Brian’s experiences and get a signed copy.
