Mon Dec 11: Local Students Raise $7500 for OSHaRE; Author's Open House a Resounding Success
Plus: Tons of new event listings for you to explore
Good Monday Morning,
I went on a bit of a fishing expedition this weekend, digging around the annals of the Internet for 2024 events listings. Already, we have an incredible lineup of local events for people of all interests, at every price point.
Banff Mountain Film Festival is screening at the Roxy on Jan 12-13, the famous Bayshore Bridal Show is on Feb 24 this year, and a new showcase of world culture – GATHER Grey Bruce – is planned for May 26.
In January alone, there’s a women-only snowmobile ride fundraiser, a mixed media kids camp, an astronomy lecture, a Celtic Irish rock band concert (the Mudmen are coming to town 🤘) and a drag show – literally something for everyone.
You’ll find events all the way into May in our Events Listings. It’s one of the benefits full subscribers enjoy, alongside full access to our complete archives on the website, local news and events roundups in your email every weekday, and the ability to comment on articles and join the conversation.
Check out your options for upgrading from a free subscription here, and consider gifting a subscription to someone you love this holiday season.

Next up, we have local news and the next column in Ginelle MacDougall’s ‘Where Do You Go From Here’ series on community support services available to Owen Sound residents.
