Meaford Man Charged After Allegedly Driving While Prohibited
OPP have charged a 32-year-old Meaford man with multiple offences after he was allegedly seen driving while prohibited under court-ordered conditions.
A 32-year-old man from Meaford is facing multiple charges after police say he was seen driving while under a court-ordered driving prohibition and bound by release conditions.
According to Grey Bruce OPP, the charges stem from an investigation by the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) on the afternoon of January 15, 2026.
Officers conducting surveillance in Meaford observed an individual known to be prohibited from driving enter the driver’s seat of a vehicle and leave the area. The person was also subject to a release order prohibiting them from occupying the driver’s seat of any motor vehicle.
A short time later, uniformed officers located the vehicle and arrested the individual without incident.
Police identified the man as as Tyler Waltenburgh, 32, of Meaford.
Waltenburgh is charged with three counts of operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He appeared for a bail hearing on January 16 in Owen Sound and was remanded into custody.
