March Break Family Fun at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre

Get ready for a March Break filled with excitement, discovery, and family-friendly entertainment at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre!
From March 17 to March 21, 2026, the Museum is transforming into a hub of fun with an incredible lineup of movies, magic, wildlife, demonstrations, and even a giant balloon-making machine.
The festivities kick off on March 16 at 1 p.m. with free popcorn and a special screening of Alice in Wonderland (2010, PG), the epic Disney fantasy adventure directed by Tim Burton. Preregistration is recommended as there are a limited number of seats.
Bird lovers will enjoy Raptors of Ontario on March 17 at 11 a.m. This fascinating presentation from the University of Guelph’s Wild Ontario will include live birds and explores the unique behaviors, habitats, and conservation of this special species.
Enjoy live displays from heritage spinners and weavers, wood turners, marine heritage interpreters, our lively Bevan’s General Store, and Riding the Railways storytelling on March 17, 19, 21. Demonstrations vary from day to day, offering visitors something different to discover during each visit.
On March 19 at 11 a.m., don’t miss The Balloon Making Machine Show! This interactive performance is full of illusions, comedy, and, of course, plenty of balloons.
On March 20, join Saugeen First Nation Elder Shirley John for Cultural Demonstrations in the Anishnaabwe Endaat gallery where she will share seasonal stories and guide children in a winter-themed craft. In the lower cafe, Saugeen First Nation community member and Educator Natalka Pucan will be leading storytelling.
March Break wraps up with a touch of magic on March 21 at 11 a.m. The Steve Baker Magic Show brings The Great Steverino back to the Museum for a mesmerizing performance. Kids will also have the opportunity to learn simple yet impressive magic tricks they can perform at home!
Proud presenters of this year’s March Break Family Fun Days are Judy Rich, Law Office and media partner 101.7 The One. Admission is free for Museum members, while general admission fees apply to non-members. The shows require preregistration and include entry to the Museum.
