We kick things off today with a new letter, written in response to David Wonnacott’s letter of March 5, that argues against removing the American flag from municipal properties.
Bognor resident David Mossy acknowledges concerns over U.S. politics but emphasizes that the American flag represents more than any one administration. He warns that removing it could send a message of hostility rather than unity and suggests that such a move would be misguided.

Owen Sound City Council meets today - Monday, March 10, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. On the agenda: Grey Sauble Conservation Authority’s request for financing to support renovations to its Administration Centre; verbal updates from the Deputy Mayor on Grey County Council business; a proposed 3% cost of living adjustment (COLA) increase for non-union employees and Council members; two flag-flying requests, and more.
