Man's Charges Span Harassment to Mischief After Three Arrests Over Five Days
Hanover Police report two arrests of the same man; a neighbouring service made a third the day after the first incident.
A 41-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested three times between September 18 and 22 in separate incidents spanning two police services, according to a Hanover Police Service media release dated September 22, 2025.
Police say the first arrest came on September 18 after a woman reported a man repeatedly following her and her infant while they walked. Investigators determined the two were strangers.
The man was charged with criminal harassment and three counts of breaching probation, then released on conditions that included a ban on entering the Town of Hanover.
The following day, the same man was arrested by a neighbouring police service in connection with property crimes and held for a bail hearing. He was later released; at that point, the earlier condition prohibiting him from entering Hanover was no longer in effect.
On September 22, Hanover officers responded to a report of a man yelling at staff and customers at a local business. Police located the same suspect nearby and arrested him on mischief and four additional breach-of-probation charges. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled later that day.
Police did not release the man’s name. Details about the property-related charges in the neighbouring jurisdiction and the outcomes of the bail hearings were not included in the release.
