A 40-year-old man has been charged after police on overnight patrol in Owen Sound spotted suspicious activity in a residential neighbourhood early Thursday morning.
According to a police statement, officers were conducting proactive patrols during the early hours of October 16, 2025, when they observed a man near a vehicle close to a residence. The individual was arrested without incident.
Police say the man was found in possession of items that had previously been reported stolen from another home.
The accused, described as a 40-year-old man of no fixed address, has been charged with trespass at night and possession of property obtained by crime. He is scheduled to appear in court on October 23, 2025.
Police have not released the accused's name, nor have they provided details about the incident location or the items recovered.
