Letter: Church Group Seeks Option for Pride Parade Participation
Reader Mary Kowaltschuk writes in search of information about the Owen Sound Pride Parade, which should be taking place in June.
LETTER TO THE EDITOR
The Pride Parade date approaches. As chair of the Witness/Health Committee of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour here in Owen Sound, I am eager to share in the celebration which recognizes and values all of God's children.
We have been searching for details on how to share our congregation's love by setting up a table at the parade, but cannot find info on a contact person who might help me.
(Not all of us are on Facebook.)
We want to participate in a meaningful, loving way. Can someone provide us with the info, please?

I’m the owner of Upwards Art. We have been looking since February for any indication as we didn’t want to schedule workshops on Pride weekend. I messaged GB Pride on IG back in March, and have not received a response. If anyone knows how we can participate as a community please reach out!
I realize it’s really late to try to pull something together but perhaps there’s another group that would like to take on this project? Or take it on for next year? I know that’s a big ask. Thanks Joan for the info about PFlag events.
Hi Mary, Im the Chapter Lead for Pflag Canada in Owen Sound. We are not Grey Bruce Pride, but we are running some events in May and June. On Wednesday morning, people are invited to the Ginger Press to mark International Day Against Homo/Bi/Transphobia. We'll be there to chat or answer questions, and the coffee and a treat are on us.
