First up this morning: In a new letter to the editor, David McLeish urges Owen Sound residents and city officials to prioritize capital expenses in this year's budget.

Highlighting a $22.3 million annual infrastructure deficit, McLeish warns that underfunded water mains, sewers, and other critical assets could lead to costly failures.

With limited grants and mounting repair needs, he argues, it’s time to face the tough choices ahead—even though low tax rates are more popular.
