September is the beginning of the busy season for Harmony Centre with 145 bookings already on the calendar.
Bafana Bafana Foods is teaming up with The Roxy to offer four-course dinners here at Harmony before attending shows at the Roxy - their first offering, September 13, is already half sold out, and their second is scheduled for September 27. This might be the start of a delicious ongoing offering.
The SweetWater Music Festival is coming back in the middle of the month with 10 public events at Harmony Centre, many of which are free!
The Charlie Angus Resistance Tour stops here on Sept 13.
Live music coming soon includes:
The Fiddlefern Contra Dance September 6
Guitarist Pierre Bensusan as part of his 50th anniversary world tour, on September 25
Eight-piece band Boomerang performing soul and R&B on September 27
and Spanish Guitarist Gary Santucci performing on October 4
Many of our weekly groups that paused over the summer are starting back up, and they are always looking for new members; The Georgian Bay Concert Choir, Drum!!, Queen’s Bush Bluegrass, Rosin Dust and more.
Our office will return to regular hours open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, so feel free to get in touch if you have questions about how to make things happen at Harmony Centre.
Finally, for the first time since it was founded in 2013, Harmony Centre is increasing the hourly rental rates. As of September, the Greaves Auditorium, Commons, and Hall are increasing $5/hour, so $35/hour most days and $65/hour on Saturdays, with the new community rate $25/hour (and $45 on Saturdays).
Our Meeting rooms remain the same cost per person - $5 or $3 for the community rate, but the minimum charge is increasing to $25 ($18 community). We hope you agree it’s still fabulous value!
