Grey Highlands Driver Charged with Impaired Driving in Markdale After Dispute at Business
Police say a Grey Highlands driver is facing charges after an impaired driving investigation was launched in Markdale on December 3, 2025.
A Grey Highlands resident is facing impaired driving charges following a police investigation prompted by a call from a local business on the morning of Wednesday, December 3.
According to Grey Bruce OPP, officers were dispatched at approximately 7:09 a.m. after receiving a report that an individual had attended a business in Markdale, been involved in an altercation, and then left. The person was believed to be impaired.
Police located the individual a short time later within Markdale and initiated an impaired driving investigation.
Curtis Dickie, 39, of Grey Highlands, was arrested and charged with:
Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
As per provincial regulations, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) was issued, and the individual’s vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Dickie was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 8, 2026.
