Grey Bruce OPP Lay Multiple Charges in Impaired Driving and Domestic Incidents Over Weekend
Police responded to multiple incidents between May 2 and 4, resulting in charges related to impaired driving and intimate partner violence for four individuals across the region.
Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a series of incidents between May 2 and May 4, 2025, resulting in multiple charges laid across the region. The cases include two impaired driving investigations and two separate intimate partner violence cases in Southgate and Meaford.
Two Charged in Impaired Driving Incidents
Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on May 4, OPP officers on patrol in Georgian Bluffs conducted a traffic stop on Thom Drive. As a result, Tyler Rudolph, 22, of Owen Sound, was arrested and charged with:

Operation While Impaired – 80 Plus
The accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment. Rudolph was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on July 3, 2025.
Earlier the same day, at approximately 1:17 a.m., OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Victoria Street in Dundalk, located in the Township of Southgate. As a result of that investigation, Robert Keys, 20, of Priceville, was also charged with the same two impaired driving offences. He is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on May 29, 2025.
Police continue to encourage the public to report suspected impaired driving by calling 9-1-1 in emergencies or 1-888-310-1122 for non-emergency concerns.
Intimate Partner Violence Investigations Lead to Charges
On May 2, Grey Bruce OPP were called to an address in the Township of Southgate shortly before 3:00 p.m. to investigate a report of intimate partner violence. A 63-year-old individual from Southgate was charged with:
Assault
Mischief
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 22, 2025.
In a separate case, police responded to a similar call on May 3 at 8:03 p.m. at a residence in the Municipality of Meaford. A 40-year-old individual from Meaford was initially charged with mischief and released. However, officers were called back to the same location the next day, May 4, at approximately 5:18 p.m., following a further incident. The same individual was then charged with:
Fail to Comply with Undertaking (two counts)
The accused was arrested and held for a bail hearing and appeared in Owen Sound court on May 5, 2025.
