Grey Bruce OPP Charge Three Drivers in Stunt and Impaired Driving Investigations
Grey Bruce OPP responded to multiple incidents over the weekend, laying charges for stunt driving near a Meaford school and impaired driving in Georgian Bluffs and Sauble Beach.
The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had a busy weekend across the region, responding to several incidents that led to impaired and stunt driving charges.
From a stunt driving charge outside a Meaford school to two separate impaired driving investigations in Georgian Bluffs and Sauble Beach, officers were active throughout the area. Below is a summary of the incidents and charges laid.
Teen Charged with Stunt Driving Outside Meaford School
Incident occurred in front of children and adults at Georgian Bay Community School
A 17-year-old from Meaford has been charged with stunt driving after an incident outside a local school.
On April 25, 2025, at approximately 3:09 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP officers were conducting a school patrol at Georgian Bay Community School when they observed a vehicle spinning its tires while leaving the parking lot in front of numerous children and adults. Officers conducted a traffic stop shortly afterward.
As a result, the driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt.
A 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver's licence suspension were issued under provincial legislation.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Offences Court in Owen Sound on May 26, 2025.
South Bruce Peninsula Driver Charged with Impaired After Collision in Georgian Bluffs
OPP respond to single-vehicle crash; driver faces court date in May
A South Bruce Peninsula resident is facing impaired driving charges following a single-vehicle collision in Georgian Bluffs.
On April 26, 2025, at approximately 9:13 a.m., Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway on Sideroad 9 after the driver swerved to avoid a turkey. The vehicle ended up in a ditch.
Jeffery Mole, 44, of South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Operation While Impaired – 80 Plus. A 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment were also imposed.
Mole was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 15, 2025.
Kitchener Driver Charged with Impaired After Sauble Beach Parking Lot Collision
OPP respond to two-vehicle crash; charges laid
A Kitchener resident is facing impaired driving charges following a two-vehicle collision in Sauble Beach.
On April 26, 2025, at approximately 4:18 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of a collision in the parking lot of a business on Main Street RR 1 in South Bruce Peninsula.
As a result of the investigation, Stacey Szczebonski, 34, of Kitchener, has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Operation While Impaired – 80 Plus. A 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment were issued.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on May 15, 2025.
