Police are renewing the call for information in the Lois Hanna case. More below.

Brenda Scott felt from the moment she entered the room for the SBGHC’s annual general meeting that the organization wasn’t there to listen.

“The arrangement of the room itself was a telltale. Chairs were arranged at the front of the room in a most unusual manner,” she recalls. “The board and staff sat with their backs to the members of the public, metaphorically demonstrating their true level of interest in anything the public had to say.”

Seventy-four members of the public “sat mutely while the board members patted themselves on the back,” Scott says, and were given just 15 minutes to ask questions.

Public Notice

  • ICYMI: The City has announced that in response to the growing need for public washrooms with 24/7 access, the washroom at the Owen Sound Police Services building on 2nd Avenue West is now available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. (City of Owen Sound)

Please note – there is no ‘Special Edition: Owen Sound Council Agenda’ this weekend. Though there is a council meeting on Monday, the agenda had not been released by the time this author got on a boat to take a group of teens to be Volunteer Lighthouse Keepers at Flowerpot Island for a few days. 🛥️
