We typically don’t cover provincial or federal news here at The Owen Sound Current. There are a lot of other sources for that, and plenty happening here at home that we want to keep you looped in on.

But when it comes to healthcare, the decisions being made at the provincial level tend to have an oversized impact on the people of this region.

Even as I prepare this daily brief, Bayshore News has just published a new article announcing overnight closures at the Durham hospital ER due to staffing shortages.
