This is it — Provincial Election Day 2025.
It’s our first February election since 1883, and the local Election Office has reportedly been steady busy.
If you didn’t receive a voter registration card in the mail, find your polling station here.
This is the last time I’ll mention it, I swear, but if you still have questions, we hope you’ll find what you need in our BGOS Votes Election Guide.
Now, if you’ll humour us and forgive any technical glitches, we’re trying out a new feature tonight.
Provincial Election Live Chat for Full Subscribers
Full subscribers are invited to join us — Editor Miranda Miller and Publisher Maryann Thomas — in The Owen Sound Current’s Provincial Election 2025 Chat.
You may see me there before then, but we’ll officially kick off at 7 p.m. tonight. We can collectively tune in to Rogers TV at 9 p.m. to watch and discuss the local results.
The rules of engagement are as follows:
No fighting, no biting, no hitting below the belt
What happens in Election Chat stays in Election Chat
If you wouldn’t yell it across 2nd Ave, don’t say it here, either
Enjoy this time with your neighbours and peers!
If you have trouble accessing the chat, please ensure you’re signed into your Substack account and see “How can I participate in a chat?” for further assistance. We are unable to provide tech support or live assistance during the event.
Letter: This Election Matters Too Much Not to Vote
LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Reader Lois Walton appeals to community members to vote strategically, warning of "dangerous and chaotic times ahead" if we stay on the same path.
