Fatal Single-Car Crash Near Woodford Under Investigation
A 46-year-old Chatsworth resident has died after a single-vehicle crash southeast of Woodford. OPP continue to investigate the cause.
Grey-Bruce OPP reported this morning that a 46-year-old Chatsworth resident has died after their vehicle left the roadway and sustained heavy damage in a collision southeast of Woodford.
At approximately 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, members of the Grey-Bruce County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Grey-Bruce emergency services responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on 16 Sideroad between 11th and 12th Line in the Township of Meaford.
Emergency crews located a vehicle that had left the roadway and suffered significant damage. The lone occupant, the driver, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police have not released information about the type of vehicle involved or whether any witnesses were present. The OPP also did not provide details on the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation by traffic collision specialists.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Roads in the area will remain closed on Monday while investigators examine the scene.
