Driver Faces Multiple Charges After Dangerous Driving Reports in Grey Highlands
A 31-year-old Etobicoke man faces multiple charges after allegedly driving erratically and fleeing police on Highway 10 in Grey Highlands.
A 31-year-old man from Etobicoke is facing multiple charges following a series of alleged traffic offences in Grey Highlands on July 14, 2025.
Around 2:00 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received several calls from motorists reporting a vehicle driving dangerously northbound on Highway 10. Witnesses said the driver was weaving through traffic and caused damage to multiple vehicles along the route.
OPP officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later on Highway 6-10, just north of Chatsworth. The driver was taken into custody at the scene.
Jaspreet Bains, 31, has been charged with the following offences:
Dangerous Operation (Criminal Code)
Flight from Peace Officer (Criminal Code)
Operation While Impaired (Criminal Code)
Assault Peace Officer (Two counts, Criminal Code)
Drive Motor Vehicle - Fail to Display Two Plates (Highway Traffic Act)
Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt (Highway Traffic Act)
Fail to Stop for Police (Highway Traffic Act)
Bains has been released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 27, 2025.
