Driver Charged with Impaired After Striking Hydro Pole Near Paisley
An Arran-Elderslie man has been charged with impaired and dangerous driving after crashing into a hydro pole on Sideroad 5 and now has a court date for Sept. 10.
A 45-year-old Arran-Elderslie man is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges after a collision with a hydro pole on Sideroad 5 Elderslie, southeast of Paisley, on Monday afternoon.
South Bruce OPP say they were called to the single-vehicle crash around 3:58 p.m. on August 11. Officers spoke with the driver at the scene and detected signs of impairment. He was arrested and taken for further testing.
As a result, Andrew Pantlin has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He is scheduled to appear in Walkerton court on September 10.
