Driver Charged After Crashing into School Bus in Meaford
A 31-year-old Meaford driver was charged with careless driving after crashing into a stopped school bus on Highway 26; no injuries were reported.
A 31-year-old Meaford resident has been charged with careless driving following a collision involving a school bus on Highway 26.
The incident occurred on Monday, November 18, 2024, at approximately 8:16 a.m., when Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers patrolling the area came upon the crash near Clearview Crescent.
According to police, the school bus was stopped behind another bus with its lights flashing and stop arm activated when a motor vehicle struck the rear of the stopped bus. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
After investigating, the OPP charged the driver under the Highway Traffic Act for careless driving.
