Dr. Anne Bell to Deliver Earth Day Keynote at Harmony Centre This Sunday
Former Ontario Nature leader to reflect on conservation, advocacy, and hope in times of crisis at Owen Sound Field Naturalists' annual keynote event.
The Owen Sound Field Naturalists (OSFN) will mark Earth Day with a powerful message of perseverance and purpose, as celebrated environmental advocate Dr. Anne Bell returns to Owen Sound for a special keynote event on Sunday, April 27.
Titled “Rapture and Resistance – The Heart of Nature Advocacy”, the presentation will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Harmony Centre and will cap off a weekend of local Earth Day programming.
Dr. Bell, who served as Ontario Nature’s Director of Conservation and Education for 17 years, will draw on her decades of experience to share stories of struggle, success, and resilience in the fight for environmental justice.
In her talk, Bell will explore the people and places that have shaped her work, the challenges she faced in protecting Ontario’s natural heritage, and the moments of joy and optimism that sustained her efforts. The event is the 10th annual OSFN Earth Day keynote.
Tickets are $10, with all proceeds going directly to support OSFN’s Youth Projects, which provide educational and outdoor experiences for young people across the region.
