Di Castri and Strader Return as Bruce-Grey Catholic Board Chair and Vice-Chair
The appointments of Lori Di Castri and Linda Strader as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board for the 2025–2026 term were confirmed at a recent meeting.

The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board has re-elected Lori Di Castri as chair and Linda Strader as vice-chair for the 2025–2026 term.
The leadership roles were confirmed during the board’s annual organizational meeting. Both Di Castri and Strader return to the positions they held during the previous term.
Di Castri represents Huron-Kinloss, Brockton Ward 31, and Kincardine. In a statement provided by the board, she said she was “proud and honoured to serve in the role of chair,” and emphasized the importance of collaboration with educators, families, and community partners.
“The entire BGCDSB Board of Trustees remains committed to being a connection between our communities and our schools,” she said.
Strader, who represents Brockton Wards 34 and 36, also returns to her role as vice-chair.
In the same announcement, she stated: “It is a privilege to continue to serve as vice-chair and contribute to the important work of our board. Together, we will continue to prioritize the needs of our students and staff, ensuring that our schools are places where faith and learning thrive.”
The Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board includes the following trustees:
Bruce Muise (Owen Sound, Meaford, and The Blue Mountains)
Beverley Eckensweiler (Municipality of South Bruce)
Lucie Desbiens (Saugeen Shores, Arran-Elderslie, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, and Northern Bruce Peninsula)
Robyn Garvey (West Grey, Hanover, Grey Highlands, and Southgate)
The board also includes two student trustees for the 2025–2026 school year:
Samantha Kim, Sacred Heart High School, Walkerton
Michelle McFadyen, St. Mary’s High School, Owen Sound
The BGCDSB operates elementary and secondary schools across Bruce and Grey counties as one of the region’s two publicly funded Catholic school boards.
