From the South Bruce OPP: “On December 14, 2024, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) held a toy drive at the Canadian Tire in Kincardine, our goal being to ‘Stuff-a-Cruiser’ with donations. We're pleased to say that we received overwhelming support and filled not one, but two of our police cruisers with toys that will be distributed to families in need this holiday season. Thank you to all who attended and supported this initiative.”

Good morning, readers. I’ll kick things off this morning with an apology for the email volume yesterday. We’ve worked on setting criteria to make sure we’re in your inbox with need-to-know information about public safety, major crimes or road closures, missing persons, etc. only as often as is absolutely necessary.

Yesterday… there was a lot. And each time I thought, Surely that must be it for today, well… there was more.

Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those impacted by yesterday’s homicide in Hanover and fatal accident at Rockford, as well as local first responders who must have been run off their feet.

You’ll receive an additional email today, as well, after the press conference this afternoon in which we hope to learn new information in the Sharif Rahman case.
