Council Dissolves Remuneration Task Force After Heated Debate with a 7-2 Vote
Councilor Hamley ends council compensation discussions until next term despite concerns over fair representation and that only those with financial means can afford to participate.
Following a contentious exchange in which notice for a surprise motion was waived in Monday’s council meeting, Councilor Brock Hamley introduced a motion that City Council direct staff to cancel its newly formed ad hoc Remuneration Task Force.
