Community Waterfront Heritage Centre to Host Fundraising Concert & Dance Honouring Jan Chamberlain
Owen Sound’s CWHC will hold a March 7 fundraising concert and dance to honour former chair Jan Chamberlain and support preservation of the city’s marine and rail heritage.

The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre (CWHC), in the former Marine & Rail Museum, is proud to announce Country for Heritage, a fundraising concert and dance on March 7 2026 to celebrate the life and legacy of former chairperson Jan Chamberlain.
The event will serve both as a memorial tribute and a vital fundraiser to support the museum’s ongoing mission of preserving Owen Sound’s marine and rail heritage.
The evening showcases live music by Trish and Dave Hawkins, and includes dancing and community fellowship.
Honouring Jan Chamberlain
Jan Chamberlain was a dedicated leader whose vision and commitment strengthened the museum and its role in the Owen Sound community. This event will celebrate her contributions while ensuring her legacy continues through the sustainability of CWHC.
“Jan’s leadership and passion for heritage preservation as well as volunteerism left an indelible mark on our community,” said Nicole Egan, Chairperson of CWHC.
“This concert and dance is not only a joyful way to honor her memory, but also a chance for us to come together, celebrate Owen Sound’s history, and raise the funds we need to keep that history alive for future generations.”
