City Ends Funding for Miller Waste Transfer Station Recycling Convenience Depot
Public notice has no impact on curbside recycling pickup for Owen Sound residents.
PUBLIC NOTICE
At the July 22, 2024, Council meeting, City Council approved Resolution number R-240722-007 for Staff Report OP-24-35 to end funding the recycling convenience depot at the Miller Waste Transfer Station on September 30, 2024.
Miller Waste Systems has confirmed that as of October 1, 2024, they will continue to operate the recycling depot services for the foreseeable future.
Recycling is an important part of waste diversion, and Owen Sound residents are reminded that curbside recycling collection is available every two weeks. Participating in curbside recycling helps to reduce emissions, contributing to a more sustainable community.
