Childcan Pyjama Walk Comes to Owen Sound on September 21
The Childcan Pyjama Walk comes to Owen Sound’s Harrison Park on Sept. 21, 2025. Join the 2.5K or 5K walk to support children with cancer, hear local family stories, and raise funds.

Owen Sound residents are invited to pull on their pyjamas and head to Harrison Park on Sunday, September 21, 2025, for the Childcan Pyjama Walk, a community event supporting children with cancer and their families.
The walk is part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and raises funds for families coping with a diagnosis, as well as for pediatric cancer research at London Health Sciences Centre.
Participants can choose between a 2.5K or 5K walk, beginning at 12:00 p.m., with registration and family activities starting at 11:00 a.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at 11:45 a.m., and the event will conclude with awards and closing remarks at 1:45 p.m.
Childcan mom Katt Buchanan-Critch will be on hand to share her family’s experience with her son Dominic, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just six months old. The family has been active in organizing this year’s Owen Sound event.
The Pyjama Walk is designed to show solidarity with children undergoing cancer treatment, many of whom spend long stretches in their pyjamas.
“We walk to provide comfort and remember. We walk to ease the burden and provide hope to our kids and families,” organizers said in the event announcement.
