Chatsworth Man Charged with Impaired Driving and More After Disturbance Call
A 36-year-old Chatsworth man has been charged with impaired driving and other offences after police responded to a disturbance and found him operating a vehicle while prohibited.
A 36-year-old Chatsworth man is facing multiple charges after police responded to a disturbance and found signs of impairment.
On January 25, 2025, at approximately 12:02 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at a residence on East Back Line in the Township of Chatsworth.
During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment in an individual who had been operating a motor vehicle. The individual was arrested and transported for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, Justin Monckton, 36, of the Township of Chatsworth, has been charged with:
Operation While Impaired (Criminal Code Section 320.14(1)(b))
Operation While Prohibited (CC 320.18(1)(a))
Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent (CC 335(1))
Fail to Comply with Probation (CC 733.1(1))
Monckton is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court of Justice on February 13, 2025.
