Cambridge Driver Charged After Early Morning Crash in Grey Highlands
A 29-year-old Cambridge man faces impaired and dangerous driving charges after a single-vehicle crash on Grey Road 30 in Grey Highlands early Friday morning.
A Cambridge man is facing impaired driving and dangerous operation charges after a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Grey Highlands.
Grey Bruce OPP were called to Grey Road 30, west of Grey Road 13, around 1:18 a.m. on October 17. Police say the driver lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and struck a tree. No injuries were reported.
Abhinandan Datta, 29, of Cambridge, has been charged with:
Operation while impaired – alcohol
Operation while impaired – 80 plus
Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
As required under provincial law, police issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and impounded the vehicle for seven days.
Datta was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound court on November 13, 2025.
