Cadets Name New Leadership Team for 128th Year in Owen Sound
The Owen Sound Army Cadets have named their 2025–2026 leadership team, with senior cadets taking on key mentoring roles in the corps’ 128th year.
The Owen Sound Army Cadets have announced their leadership team for the 2025–2026 training year, marking the corps’ 128th year of youth development and community service.
Founded in 1898, the Owen Sound corps is one of the oldest in Canada. Each year, senior cadets are appointed to leadership roles, responsible for setting the tone of the program and mentoring younger members.
This year’s leadership appointments are:
Regimental Sergeant Major – Master Warrant Officer Ethan Lang
Company Sergeant Major – Warrant Officer Logan Carter
Platoon Commander – Sergeant Paige Johnson
Standards Cadet – Warrant Officer Adriana Reynolds
Flag Party Commander – Sergeant Cydney Stanislow
Correspondent Cadet – Warrant Officer Alexandra Weaver
The first training night of the new year was held on September 9 from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Owen Sound Armoury.
Youth interested in joining can register through the national Army Cadet Program website by selecting 42 The Grey and Simcoe Foresters, Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps.
