Bruce Telecom has listed its Tiverton headquarters at 3145 Highway 21 for $6 million and says it intends to relocate operations to a new facility.
The company announced the listing on Facebook on May 13, stating the sale covers the building and land only. “The business is not included, Bruce Telecom is not closing, and all of our services and day-to-day operations will continue as normal,” the post reads.
The property, listed by realtor Jennifer Lamont, comprises 28,301 square feet across two levels on just under 20 acres spread across two parcels. The zoning is agricultural, commercial, and industrial.
According to the listing, the main building was constructed in 1995 with an addition in 1999, and includes a five-bay garage wing, an elevator servicing both floors, and approximately 14 zone-controlled heat pumps. The second parcel includes a driving shed.
The listing notes the site sits 9.9 kilometres from Bruce Power, which is currently executing a $20-billion life-extension program at its nuclear generating station.
Bruce Telecom has not disclosed where it intends to relocate, when the move will occur, or whether the relocation will affect staffing in Tiverton. The Owen Sound Current has submitted questions to the company and will update this article if further information is provided.
