Brightshores Names Steven Green Board Chair, Adds Three Directors
The health system's board installed a new chair and three directors at its June 24 annual meeting, as it launches a five-year strategic plan.
Brightshores Health System has a new board chair and three new directors, the organization announced Wednesday.
Steven Green takes over as chair of the board of directors. The health system described him as an experienced healthcare leader but did not detail his prior roles.
The three new board members are Shaun Elliott, whom Brightshores identified as a nonprofit executive; Carol Gray, a former senior executive in financial services; and Ted Squires, an entrepreneur in aerospace manufacturing.
The appointments took effect June 24 following the board’s annual meeting, roughly a month before the organization publicized them.
Deborah Pope, the outgoing chair, will remain on the board as past chair. Brightshores also acknowledged departing members Jessica Hill and Tyler Laitinen.
The changes come as Brightshores launches its 2026–2031 strategic plan, titled “Stronger. Together.”
“Working alongside my fellow volunteer board members, and with the dedication of our leaders, physicians and staff, we look forward to supporting the delivery of high-quality, connected care for the communities we serve,” Green said in the release.
President and CEO Ann Ford said the new appointees bring knowledge and perspectives that will support the organization’s growth.
