ATV Crashes Into Parked Car in Williamsford; Suspect Identified by OPP
An ATV rider is lucky to be alive after plowing into a parked car and being thrown across Highway 6 in Williamsford. Despite leaving the scene, the person has been identified by police.
The ATV rider caught on camera colliding with a parked car in Williamsford last night has been identified by Grey Bruce OPP.
A dramatic surveillance video circulating on local social media today showed an ATV crashing into a stationary vehicle on the shoulder of the road in front of the Williamsford Pie Company on Highway 6.
According to the company’s Facebook post, the car belonged to a staff member. The ATV rider did not remain at the scene.
The 49-second video clip shows an ATV headed north on the sidewalk as it passes the bridge, nearing Williamsford Pie Company. The ATV suddenly veers off the sidewalk in an attempt to pass the parked car, but clips the back driver’s side bumper.

The force of the crash spun the ATV and folded the front right tire partway under the vehicle, while the rider rolled violently across the highway.
He immediately got up and drove the severely damaged four-wheeler north.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., Constable Lyons of the Grey Bruce OPP told The Owen Sound Current they had identified the subject. He said the investigation is ongoing, and no charges had been laid at that point.
A short time later, Williamsford Pie Company posted to Facebook again, this time to share with fans, “Thankfully, the driver of the ATV has turned himself in.”
