The Repair Café is back on Saturday, April 12, from 1 to 4 at the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library.

Volunteer fixers are ready to repair your treasures, from lamps and jacket zippers to leaky stuffies, jewelry, DVD players, and vacuum cleaners. Enjoy a coffee or tea and cookie while fixers get out their tools and bring precious belongings back to life for my favourite price: FREE!

A project of the Georgian Bluffs Climate Action Team and the Library, the Repair Café takes place on the second Saturday of every month.

• Forest Management By-Law Update: Grey County is asking the public for feedback as it prepares to update the Forest Management By-Law.

• Owen Sound’s Service Review Implementation Ad Hoc Committee meets today, April 9, at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall - City of Owen Sound

• Grey County Council meets on Thursday, April 10, at 10:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at the Grey County Administration Building. On the Committee of the Whole agenda: considering a $1.8 million replacement of the Chatsworth Dome, several road tenders, an Emergency Mutual Assistance Agreement with Dufferin County, and more. • City of Owen Sound’s Corporate Services Committee meets on Thursday, April 10, at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall. On their agenda this month: confirming minutes from November and March, reviewing website analytics, and considering policy review updates.
