An Evening of South Asian Music in Owen Sound April 25
A South Asian music trio will perform April 25 at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound in a Georgian Bay Symphony fundraiser.
Music lovers in Owen Sound will have a chance to experience the rich traditions of South Asian music later this month, as the Harmony Centre hosts a special live performance featuring a trio of accomplished musicians.
“An Evening of South Asian Music” takes place at 7 p.m. on April 25 at the Harmony Centre, 890 4th Avenue East.
The performance will feature Shreyas on santoor, Vasu Bisht on bansuri, and Ravi on tabla, presenting a program that blends Indian classical and semi-classical music with folk songs and selections from classic Hindi films.
The evening includes a tribute to the influential album Call of the Valley, known for introducing generations of listeners to Indian instrumental music through its evocative soundscapes.
The event is a fundraiser for the Georgian Bay Symphony, supporting its ongoing programming and community initiatives.
