Accused in Owen Sound Hit-and-Run and Cocaine Trafficking Case Chooses Judge-Only Trial
Christopher Little, charged in a June 2025 hit-and-run that seriously injured a pedestrian, has elected to face trial by judge alone. His case moves to Superior Court on Feb. 4.

Christopher Little, the man charged in connection with a hit-and-run downtown last June that left a pedestrian in a London hospital with serious injuries, has opted for trial by judge alone and will not to face a jury of his peers in the matter.
Counsel Airianna Murdoch-Fyke appeared by video in Owen Sound court this morning on behalf of Danielle Landry, counsel of record for the accused. Little, now 42, did not attend the proceedings, which were presided over by Justice of the Peace Moira Jean Callahan.
Murdoch-Fyke notified the court that their firm filed a notice of election on January 20 and stated, “I can confirm that Mr Little wishes to have his matter tried in superior court by judge alone.”
Shortly after 11 p.m. on June 29, 2025, police and paramedics were dispatched to a fail-to-remain collision where a pedestrian was struck near the intersection of 1st Avenue West and 11th Street West.
Police released little information at the time, stating only that a 41-year-old Owen Sound man had been taken into custody. He was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, failing to stop at an accident involving bodily harm, failure to comply, and driving without a license. His name was not released.
According to a police charging document filed with the court and obtained by Owen Sound Current, Little is accused of failing to stop and provide assistance or provide his information after operating a vehicle recklessly and causing another man bodily harm.
He is also accused of trafficking cocaine in relation to the same investigation. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
A resident of the neighbourhood told Owen Sound Current in June 2025 that they had heard people yelling shortly before first responders arrived, and that it sounded like they were arguing or fighting.
The witness saw a vehicle quickly leave the scene, turning left out of the inner harbour parking lot and fleeing at what they described as a high rate of speed in the direction of 10th St.
Soon after, the witness said, a local security service arrived, followed by Owen Sound Police and Grey County paramedics. The following day, OSPS announced they had located the vehicle and driver at 11:35 p.m. the night of the incident.
On July 9, 2025, Little posted $5,000 bail, at which point he was ordered not to communicate with six people and prohibited from possessing a weapon or driving a vehicle. The matter appeared before the courts on October 28 and January 6, as well.
Little currently lists his employment on LinkedIn as ‘Investment Advisor & Portfolio Manager’ with RBC Dominion Securities, since 2007.
However, a spokesperson for RBC Wealth Management Canada confirmed to Owen Sound Current recently that Little’s employment with the firm ended on July 29, 2025.
With his election for a trial by judge, Little’s case will move to the Superior Court of Justice, where a first hearing has been scheduled for February 4, 2026, in Owen Sound.
