560 CFOS Hosting 2nd Annual Community Food Drive to Support Local Food Banks
Community Food Drive returns after raising over $46,000 in food and monetary donations in 2023, with 100% of donations used locally.
As food bank usage in Grey and Bruce Counties reaches an all-time high, 560 CFOS is teaming up with the Salvation Army for the 2nd Annual Community Food Drive on Friday, December 6, 2024.
The day-long event will broadcast live from Zehrs in Owen Sound from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with volunteers from CFOS, the Salvation Army, and sister stations Mix 106.5 and Country 93 stationed at No Frills, Foodland, Metro, and Food Basics throughout the day.
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items or make monetary contributions at any participating location. For convenience, pre-made bags containing essential food items will be available for purchase at each store.
For those unable to attend in person, monetary donations can be made by calling 519-376-7777 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on December 6. Donors can also include a dedication, which will be read live on the air.
Addressing Food Security in Grey and Bruce
